Spring returns to the earth, and everything recovers. In order to help people from other places to return home smoothly, the practice department of the school of Public Management (new green youth volunteer service team) organized a volunteer service activity in Guangzhou railway station from December 31 to January 6. The purpose of this volunteer service is to help Guangzhou railway station relieve the service pressure during the Spring Festival, so that the returning people can return home more easily.
The volunteer period coincides with new year's day, and the whole of China is filled with the joy of the festival, including Guangzhou. At Guangzhou railway station, our volunteers were eager to try and arrived at the meeting place early. Then under the guidance of the staff and the volunteer leader, the volunteers receive the volunteer vest and hat in an orderly manner, and carefully follow the instructions and requirements of the leader to ensure that they can serve the passengers in the most perfect condition. After arriving at the corresponding post, each volunteer will welcome the coming volunteer service with full enthusiasm and positive spirit.

The specific time of this volunteer service is from 8:00 to 12:00 in the morning and from 13:00 to 19:00 in the afternoon, which is divided into half day shift and full day shift. Of course, whether it's a half day shift or a full day, volunteers from Huanong always smile to help people in need, and their performance has also been praised by passengers and staff of Guangzhou railway station.

In the face of passengers from different regions, volunteers take the initiative to earnestly and patiently solve problems for everyone, and strive to answer questions with evidence. When encountering problems that cannot be solved, volunteers will help each other and encourage each other, and will not be afraid of and finally solve all problems encountered.

After seven days' hard work, the volunteer service activity of Guangzhou railway station was successfully concluded on January 7, 2020. This volunteer service fell behind the scenes, and the volunteers strengthened their original intention as a volunteer. The staff of Guangzhou railway station relieved their work pressure to a certain extent, and the returning passengers received warm and considerate service. During this period, all three parties gained a sense of happiness, achievement and gain. During this volunteer service activity, every volunteer from Huanong made every effort to help the returning people and perfectly demonstrate the sense of social responsibility that a Huanong student should have. Here, we hope that the majority of Chinese students can participate in voluntary activities more actively and enthusiastically, and contribute their own strength to building our harmonious society!
