Our college successfully held the National Social Science Fund Declaration and Exchange Meeting
To further promote the construction of high-level universities, School of Public Administration held a meeting of National Social Science Fund Seminar on the morning of February 18th. Prof. Zhang Yu, Dean of our college, Prof. Wen Hong from South China University of Technology, and more than 20 teachers who are applying for the National Social Science Fund attended the exchange meeting. The exchange meeting was chaired by Vice President Yang Zhengxi.
At the declaration exchange meeting, Professor Zhang Yu, Dean of College of Public Management, pointed out that the college attaches great importance to the declaration work of the National Social Science Fund and serves the declaration work from all aspects. She hope that all teachers can proceed from "learning spirit, implementing instructions, focusing on the center, and highlighting characteristics" to declare National Social Science Fund declaration.
Professor Wen Hong, deputy director of the Social Science Department of South China University of Technology, conducted in-depth exchanges with the teachers present on the research framework, design, and sophistication of the National Social Science Fund application. He made a detailed analysis on the common problems in the national social science declaration such as how to analyze the problem, explain the theory, and construct the framework.
Regarding the application form, the judges analyzed the topic of the study, the length of the literature review and its refining summary, the writing of theapplication and its logical main line; how to focus on one point and other common issues.He proposed that the topic selection must have its urgency and importance, that the literature review should be appropriately technically processed, and that the application should be written with a relevant mental map to succinctly express the research content, the research framework should be complete, and the design of the application should be streamline.The exchange meeting stimulated the enthusiasm of teachers for the application of the National Social Science Fund, and also improved the skills of teachers in the application of it.
Finally, President Zhang Yu concluded. Dean Zhang emphasized that teachers must attach great importance to the application of the National Social Science Fund, study the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, implement the school's instructions on the construction of high-level universities, and promote the development of schools and colleges.This exchange meeting is an academic dialogue platform, an academic enlightenment and a feast of thought. The college provides more platforms for teachers to conduct academic exchanges.Dean Zhang Yu expressed her heartfelt thanks to the teachers who attended this exchange meeting and submitted their sincere opinions for the National Social Science Fund.
