The College of Public Management (CPM) is proudly serves as home to nationally ranked programs and renowned faculty recognized as experts in their fields. ACADEMICS
Established in 2005, College of Public Management is a multidisciplinary college. In our teaching programs we aim to produce public policy professionals who will emerge as leaders in a wide range of organizational contexts: public, private, non-governmental and voluntary sectors. The College offers a wide range of programs for undergraduates and taught masters. Our Undergraduate Majors include Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Management of Land Resource, Educational Economy and Management, Social Policy and Social Management, Sociology, and Social Work. Our taught master program, Master of Public Management, is launched in 2010. In 2011, primary discipline of Public Management is granted to the College.

Our faculty members graduated from many of the renowned universities and with a commitment to leading edge research and high quality teaching. Our academic and teaching faculty group has 59 people, including 2 supported by “Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University”, 3 provincial-level nominees for the Guangdong provincial “Thousand-hundred-ten Talent Program”, 2 Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department nominees for “Thousand-hundred-ten Talent Program”, 2 winners of Guangdong Nanyue Outstanding Teacher Award, 1 winner of Guangdong Nanyue Outstanding Educator Award, 1 winner of National Outstanding Teacher Award for MPA, 1 Guangdong Provincial Outstanding Young Teacher Award. We have 17 professors and 22 associate professors, of whom, 3 are advisers for Ph.D programs and 35 for master degree programs.

l1 research center of Governance at China’s Local Government, which is a jointed program with the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau and located in Yunfu City.
In the last five years, 16 research projects have been supported by national level grants and 64 projects were funded by provincial level grants, with a total fund of RMB 3.83 million yuan. 378 articles have been published in academic journals, most of which are top ranked in the field of public management, such as SSCI-listed journals, Journal of Political Science,Sociological Studies, and Chinese Public Administration. The College is well equipped with teaching and research facilities. STUDENT LIFE
The College has enrolled 401 graduate students since 2011, 121 of whom are awarded with Master Degree (include 1 foreign student, and 1 directly transferred to pursue doctoral degree). 280 graduate students are currently studying in the College, including 238 full-time students and 42 research oriented masters. Our teaching and research expertise offers students at all levels a vibrant academic environment which enables them to engage creatively and critically with the key policy challenges facing the contemporary world-locally, regionally and globally. Classroom learning and desk based research is, of course, just one part of university life and we seek to enhance student learning through various opportunities to broaden personal development, cultural sensitivity and applied skills. To these ends, the College offers an expanding range of extra-curricular activities both locally and abroad, including international exchanges, overseas study tours and internships.

According to incomplete statistics by July 2017, 55 CPM undergraduate students are enrolled by overseas graduate programs in 2017. As shown in Figure 2, 19 students are enrolled in universities in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), 16 are enrolled in universities in the United Kingdom, 9 are enrolled in universities in Australia, 6 are enrolled in the United States, 2 are enrolled in universities in Singapore, and three in others (Germany, South Korea and Malaysia). 42% of these students are from the Department of Public Administration, 38% are from the Department of Land Resource & Urban Governance and 20% are from the Department of Labor Security & Social Policy.

lMASTER OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION (MPA)
To prepare high-level, versatile and practical talents who are ready to meet the needs of global and international competition to work for government departments and non-governmental public organizations, departments responsible of social administration as well as for various kinds of business organizations.
MPA Education Centre will continue to optimize the applied education philosophy, to establish itself locally and gear towards internationalization, and explore local high-quality specialists in public management capable of meeting the international requirements. Based on international perspective and using existing international cooperation channels the school is committed to building an internationally oriented education platform for MPA.
lMASTER OF SOCIAL WORK (MSW)
Established in 2014, the MSW program, led by the value of “people oriented, help people to help themselves, fairness and justice,” prepares research talents and professional practitioners, who have outstanding facilities in planning, execution, supervision, evaluation and research in social work. The program offers two majors, which focuses on senior social work practice and social welfare respectively.
