A few days ago, the final case competition of the "China Case Centre Cup" second graduate public management was held at Fudan University. The competition was launched in October 2017 and attracted 1,091 teams from 180 universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, and Shandong University. After fierce competition in the preliminary and final rounds, the competition finally generated 4 final prizes, 12 second prizes, 16 third prizes, 68 outstanding prizes, 4 most valuable player awards, 3 best case awards, and excellent 7 organization awards. The Faculty of Public Policy and Management actively organized the 2017 MPA graduates to register for the competition. A total of three teams successfully entered the national top 100. Two of the teams won the third prize and the other team won the award.
To encourage the colleges and universities to actively participate in this case competition, this year’s competition set up the “Excellent Organization Award”poiltly. Our faculty won this honor with the quantity and quality of the promotion cases.
As the annual MPA event, the China Postgraduate Public Management Case Contest aims to guide the majority of graduate students, especially MPA graduate students, to pay attention to the practical issues of public administration in China. Through the competition process of investigation, case selection and analysis and debate, the use of public management theory and public policies is improved. The ability of the analytical method to solve practical problems; to further promote case teaching methods in MPA education, to make MPA education and public management practices more closely integrated with national development.
