Our college successfully held a lecture on "Working with Disabled Personsunder the Social Governance Pattern of Co-construction and Co-governance and Sharing"
On April 10, 2019, from 7: 30-9: 30 pm, the "Working with Disabled Persons under the Social Governance Pattern of Co-construction and Co-governance and Sharing" lecture held by the School of Public Administration of South China Agricultural University was held at the Faculty Development Center of the College. Professor Yang Zhengxi, Associate Dean of School of Public Management, hosted the lecture, MSW Graduate students attended the lecture, and Professor Zhuo Caiqin and Teacher Li Yingyi also attended the lecture.
This lecture was delivered by Chen Xuejun, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of the Guangzhou Disabled Persons' Federation. Secretary Chen has extensive work experience in the field of disabled people.Secretary Chen has extensive work experience in the field of disabled people. After serving as the chairman of the Municipal Disabled Persons ’Federation in 2012, he presided over the preparation and implementation of the 12th and 13th five-year plans for the development of the disabled people ’s cause in Guangzhou, and organized social security, service systems and disability prevention for disabled people.He led the Guangzhou Disabled Persons' Federation to create 52 reproducible experiences.
During the lecture, Secretary Chen told us about the characteristics of people with disabilities in Guangzhou, and introduced the categories, physical and mental characteristics and difficulties of people with disabilities, so that students can learn more about the disabled people.Next, Secretary Chen gave a detailed introduction to the nature, organization system, service scope and functions, and various work results of the Disabled Persons 'Federation, vividly portrayed the Disabled Persons' Federation to the students, pointed out that the cause of the disabled needs multiple parties to support, and called on students to pay more attention to it and care for the disabled.Finally, Secretary Chen gave us an analysis of the main problems in the cause of people with disabilities, and pointed out the development direction of the cause of people with disabilities under the framework ofCo-construction and Co-governance and Sharing, so that everyone felt Secretary Chen’s unique insight and love for the cause of people with disabilities. For the questions of the students, Secretary Chen answered patiently and meticulously, and the lecture ended with a wonderful comment by Professor Zhuo Caiqin.
The content of this lecture is colorful and the language is vivid and humorous. The lectures deeply inspired the students and gave them more understanding and thinking about the Guangzhou Disabled Persons 'Federation and the cause of the disabled, which broadened the students' horizons.
