The Department of Creative Social Work of City University of Macao visited our Department of Social Work
On the afternoon of June 21, 2019, the delegation of Department of Innovative Social Work of City University of Macau Macau University visited our Department of Social Work. The delegation members included Zhong Jian, the department director, Cai Yuanning, Wu Xuefeng and Wu Wanying. With the planning and development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Department of Innovative Social Work of the City University of Macao looks forward to visiting and understanding the professional development of social work in mainland universities through visiting activities and exploring possible future interactive cooperation and exchange activities. The two sides conducted friendly exchanges on the setting of undergraduate and master courses in social work, student training models, and the development of the social work industry, and enhanced mutual understanding. The Department of Social Work of our college actively expands the platform for external professional exchanges and cooperation while attaching importance to strengthening professional construction. It is hoped that in the future, it will expand opportunities for social work professional exchanges and cooperation with Macao colleges and universities, and will be able to play a role in community governance and social services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The City University of Macau actively responded to the needs of social development in Macau and the region. In 2016, it established a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's degree in social work in 2018. It specializes in cultivating social work talents with high professional adaptability.
